“Freedom lies in being bold.”
Hey Loves! Since the fourth of July is in a couple days I decided to be a bit patriotic and dedicate a style post to the holiday. Whether you’re attending a BBQ, celebrating on a yacht, or snuggling up with your bae during a fabulous firework show, the fourth of July is all about showing off your patriotic pride by layering on the red, white and blue. This year be bold and different by staying away from the usually American flag tees and cut off shorts. Although the color palette is restricted there are still unless styling possibilities!
For this look I went for a glam approach to the holiday. This is something I would wear if I was spending the Fourth of July at a fabulous party in the Hamptons or a phenomenal party on a yacht (Can a girl dream or na? lol). I choose this pretty white dress as the main piece in my outfit and styled it with red fringe heels ( they remind me of fireworks), a red lip and some blue sunnies. I didn’t want to over do the red, white and blue, so accessorizing with pops of red and blue felt just right. As for my reality…I will be spending the holiday BBQ with friends and family then sunggling up with myself as I watch the firework show. Hope everyone has a wonderful and safe Fourth of July!

Hey Loves! It’s officially summer and one thing I recommend this summer is going out and having the time of your life! I wore this pretty little number when I was in Cancun, Mexico to dinner, then to go have a few drinks and dance the night away. I just love the embroider details on this dress and the fact that it’s black and white means I can pair it with any color for a bright summer pop. I don’t know about you guys but I’ve been stocking up on some pretty summer dresses this past spring and I can’t wait to wear them.
Hey Loves! Welcome to my Cancun travel diary. I decided to put together some of my favorite photos from my trip to share with you guys. I was in Cancun for 7 days with my mom and grandparents. It was the perfect vacation for some relaxation. The first night we were in Cancun my mom and I went to this club called COCO BONGO. It is like nothing I’ve ever been to before. It is a performance but a club at the same time. If you are ever in Cancun I totally recommend going, even if your not the club type. I also got a chance to go to Isla De Mujeres, The Mayan Ruins at Tulum Mexico and Swim down the underground river at Xcaret Park. Below are some photos of my trip!

Happy Monday Loves! Unfortunately my weekend consist of me working late, But I did get to have brunch with some fab blogger babes before I headed to work on Sunday. We brunched at Star Belly in San Francisco (@starbellysf). It’s the cutest little restaurant located in the Castro with a huge outdoor patio! Two of the girls who run the blog SKbazaar.com (@SKbazaar) are having an event this Saturday from 12:00pm-3:00pm at 320 Harbor Drive in Sausalito. The event is a Spring makeover and mimosas event, there will be makeup artist teaching fun workshops and giving tips on how to achieve flawless skin. SKbazaar will also be buying any of your spring dresses, skirts and rompers you don’t want anymore and anything they don’t buy you can donate to “Clothes for Souls”to help those in need. Stella & Dot will also be there giving tips on spring styling and jewelry trends. If you can come out please do, it will be tons of fun! Hope to see you there!
As for this look, I found this cute orange dress with an open back at Forever 21. This dress fits more like a tunic on me because of my long legs so I decided to pair it with white Bermuda shorts. I’m currently obsessed with this sliver statement necklace, I feel like it looks great with everything and adds drama to my looks. Below are some more pictures.

“Taste, and looking chic, is no longer a question of money or how much you spend, but how you create a unique sense of style.”

Hey loves, Happy Wednesday! I hope everyone’s weekend was nothing short of amazing. I don’t know about you guys but I had such an amazing weekend with this gorgeous weather we had going on. Being a Visual Merchandiser means I usually have to work on weekends but my manager tries to gives us a weekend a month off. I got lucky and happened to have this past weekend off with such amazing weather. I spent my weekend hanging out with family and friends and taking multiple trips to the beach.
As for my look, off the Shoulder tops and dress are the rage this season and I’m a fan! Are you? They’re super chic and sexy, while still remaining classy. That’s pretty much the perfect combination if you ask me, especially for spring. I wanted to find some basic off the shoulder tops that I can easily pair with denim or a skirt for a sexy but chic look, and I found the perfect ones! The white off the shoulder top that I wore in my last post and this one are both from H&M and go for about $12 each. These basics are a quick and inexpensive way to update your spring wardrobe because you can pair them with anything!

“The qualities I most admire in a women are confidence and kindness.”
Just like I enjoy a beautiful painting or garden, I find Oscar de la Renta’s dresses and fashion designs beautiful. From his rich color choices, the feel of the elegant fabrics, and the details of the embroidery, his dresses can make any women feel beautiful. This pass Sunday I got the chance to finally stop by the De Young Museum and check out the Oscar De La Renta exhibit. If you have been thinking about going I highly suggest you do. I’ve always seen his designs on T.V and in pictures from fashion week and thought they were beautiful, but seeing his work up close gives me a whole new respect for the man. The exhibit displays work from his early days in Spain to his work for Balmain in the ’80s and ’90s to the stunning creations he designed for his namesake label from the ’60s into the 2010s.
For this look I put together I was inspired by Oscar De La Renta’s garden exhibit at the De Young Museum. When De La Renta wasn’t at his design studio, he could often be found at his garden in Kent Conn, many of his designs were inspired here.In the garden room, a massive screen plays video taken from his garden, while three mannequins sit on a park bench in floral silk Balmain gowns…..Below are more photos of the garden inspiration look I put together plus some photos from the exhibit. enjoy!
